Hi everyone! My name is Amy and I’d like to welcome you to Live Your FulList.
Many years ago, I sat down to create a list of all the things I wanted to do before I died. My list contained some vague wishes for travel to faraway, expensive places and a couple life goals that I assumed I would complete at some point down the road. I crossed off items here and there, but I found many days to pass listlessly.
As I grew to be the (sometimes) adult that I am now, I collected my set of beliefs that shape who I am and how I live my life. I’m not talking about my religious faith or political stance – I’m referring to the values and mottos that I live by day to day. Many of these beliefs can be found on the Quotes page, but there were also a few key realizations I had that greatly impacted my outlook. Like most people, I was searching for happiness. It took a long time for me to realize that happiness is something that comes from within. I learned how to cultivate inner happiness regardless of external influences, but obviously certain circumstances create more enjoyment than others. So I began seeking out the things that brought me joy and I began to live fully.
Live a full life. What does that mean? Well, it’s going to be different for everyone. For me, it meant learning from, but not dwelling on past mistakes, searching for the things in life that light a fire in my soul, striving to be present in and to appreciate each moment rather than waiting for the next big thing, being mindful of the impact my actions have on the world and lives around me, and choosing love and happiness in a world that so-easily destroys those things.
About a year ago, I binge-watched a show on Netflix called “No Tomorrow” in which Xavier believes the world is going to end and creates an Apocalyst: his list of things he wants to do before the world ends. He and his girlfriend, Evie, choose one thing from their lists to do everyday. It’s cute and quirky, and got cancelled after one season. I suppose some people didn’t like it as much. Now, I don’t believe “the apocalypse is nigh,” but I liked the idea of having a list that I would (try to) cross things off of everyday. I quickly realized how difficult this was with all of life’s other responsibilities, but it didn’t stop me from trying.
So, I created my list of things that I wanted to do. But I didn’t want to do them at some vague time in the future. I wanted to actively go through my list of dreams and aspirations and cross off items as often as possible. Apocalyst didn’t fit, nor did Bucket List. So, punny person that I am, I named it my FulList: the list of things I wanted to do to live my life to the fullest. And now I live according to my FulList as often as I can.
I keep my list in a notebook that I carry with me in my purse and have told friends and family about my plan to Live My FulList. Many were enthusiastic and some even created their own FulLists. That was when I realized that I might be able to help others start to live more fully. So I built this website, started a YouTube Channel, and curated an Instagram and Facebook page to share my thoughts and to inspire you to Live Your FulList. I look forward to sharing my LYF journey and I hope you’ll share how you’ve lived your FulList as well.

Love your thoughts on this. Good luck on your Fullist.
